Question & comment about TipCalc

Just a question and perhaps an observation about your iPhone app....

I'm not sure that I understand why you elected to round the bill when making an entry - "no cents". The issue is of course that the total is therefore inaccurate and does not serve as a final check when totaling the meal charge and tip, as on a credit charge slip. I do understand "rounding" and typically "round" the tip in order to achieve a final payment that has "no cents" - you might consider that as an option vs rounding the charge.

    Best regards,

  2. Thank you for the suggestion, sounds like a good idea, I will take it into consideration for the next update.

Do you have any feedback on the color of the interface (or lack of)? I purposely made it dark so it would not be too bright in a restaurant, which makes sense to me.

    I welcome all feedback.

    Thanks again.

I purchased your program today and it doesn't work properly. It has not the "People in party" slider to divide up the bill. the screen shot in your commercial is not the same than the program you are downloading.
    i request your update.
    Thanks

  6. Zata,

Sorry for that discrepancy, I uploaded version 1.1 to Apple for review on 07/14/2008 at 1:00am PST, now we are just waiting on Apple. When the update hits the store is anyones guess. I suggest you write Apple and request that they review programs faster, especially updates to existing programs.

The old version pretty much is the same except it does not handle cents and the interface is a little different.

Thank you for the purchase and just be patient version 1.1 is coming once Apple reviews it.

  7. We just got notification that version 1.1 is now up on the AppStore, please check for updates there. I guess it takes about 2 weeks for an update to be processed.

    Thanks again for your patience.
