I like your simple presentation. My wife would get a great deal of use from BP Tracker if you could add one additional item to track. It is the reading for SPO2. This is a value between 0 and 100 with possibly a non linear scale presentation as most people will be around 96-99 Oxygen in their blood. Bad readings probably could be as low as 70. I don,t know, I'm not a doctor.

My request is for you to have 4 graphs instead of three and the support as well. So simply put, add a fourth item to be measured. I am happy to pay for the development as long as it is reasonable.

I don't know if I am out of line here, but I can assure you my request is driven by need, and I need to make life simple for my true love.

Bigtom,

What version of BP Tracker are you using? Version 1.3 (the latest release) has buttons at the top of the graph to select different time periods to filter the graphs, are you not seeing these?
The graph view interface should look like the image in this link: graph interface

Please let me know if you are seeing something different

No, Sean, My graph (chart) is now almost 1 year old and getting so scrunched up that it is no longer useful.
You used to have a week or month's view, but that choice has disappeared. So I would like to delete the present chart and start again.
Thanks, bigtom

Hello,

Bought your BP ap and pleased with it but e-mail not working. Everything I have tried gets a message "Cannot Send Mail-An error occurred while delivering this message." Tried several different mail addresses and the same thing occurs. All other mail is working normally on my Iphone.

Oooopps! Sorry, my mistake. We have different settings for various e-mail address and one needed a password. Now works perfectly.

On the bottom toolbar click the fourth icon over, the one that is a box with an arrow comming out of it, that will give you a sheet with the email options. The iPhone/iPod touch must have the built-in email configured for this to work.

I just purchased BP Tracker mainly because I could email my results to my Doctor. But I cannot find any key for starting an email within the app. Where do I find this? I have clicked on everything I can find in the app and nothing relates to emailing.

Sorry for the late response, I have been on vacation.

Are you asking how to delete the screen grabs that are placed in the Camera Roll on the Photos app?

If so view the album and click the box with an arrow comming out of it, you can now click each picture and hit the red delete button.

I have a version that will allow direct emailing of the graphs, I just need to finish it up a bit and submit it to Apple.

Kara K,

Arg, I must have screwed up a bit of logic while I was speeding up the app. I am getting ready to move this weekend so I can not guarantee I will have a fast fix for this (let alone Apple's unpredictable review process).

I am actually planing on making the next version require iPhone/iPod Touch OS 3.0 or higher so I can use the new built-in email functionality, version 3 is a free update for all iPhones and will be out on Jun 17th.

Congratulations on the new arrival.

Hi there! Again, great job with this app! I ended up delivering a few days after my last request, but my BPs are still funky, so this still works great for me! :) Oh..and my doctors were EXTREMELY impressed with the graphing feature..my perinatologist in particular found them quite cool.

There's an actual bug in the emailing logic...it appears to be emailing the ENTIRE list of records for every option (now, guessing it's All since all I have recorded is back to May 1st, but I'm getting everything each time). Can you fix this please?

Thanks again! Great job!

edbrannin,

Thank you for the feedback. I am still waiting for my last version to be approved by Apple ( I submitted it on June 5th).

On point 1) are you:
a) asking to not draw a line over where the value is 0
b) asking to not draw a line to the 0 value but still draw a line connecting the previous point and the next?

I just quickly added support for b).

As for 2) I will look into adding that soon.

I'm a bit surprised these haven't been reported yet:

1. My doctor's office usually doesn't measure pulse when they take my blood pressure -- but when I leave the field blank, it makes the graph dip down to 0 and back. It would be nice if the line just disappeared over 0-readings for pulse.

2. When I click the + button in the upper-right and immediately pop back to the "BP Tracker" table/list, it leaves a blank item on top. It would be nice if those entries were automatically removed.

Thanks for the very useful app!

Thank you for the purchase and the kind words.

As for other app developers using it, a developer with any actual skill can easily copy the functionality using the built in tools. To see an even more powerful version check out my other program Ticker, this is where I first implemented this concept.

awesome app. I especially like the date finder set up - makes entering my history easy. :) I am entering 3 readings a day going back to christmas 08. it'sthe best date finder set ups i've seen! You might want to make it available to other app developers. It would be great if it became a standard for date entering in apps.Might make some money too.

Kara K,

Thank you for the feedback.

1) Noted
2) Something like previous 7 days sounds good, will look into that.
3) Will need to look into this to see what I can do to speed it up. That is a lot of readings in a short time!
4) I originally thought of doing it this way but wanted to take up less screen space, will revisit this.

I hope the remainder of your pregnancy goes well.

Thank you so much for this handy little app! I'm 29 weeks pregnant and started having bp problems two weeks ago and DLed this five days ago to make it easier to track my BP (the old write it on a notecard method was getting old!). I'm finding all of the stats helpful, along with the graphs. Just a few requests though...

1. CSV would be cool--but I think that point has already been beat into the ground. :)
2. Having a "Previous 7 Days" filter and/or a "Previous Week" filter would be helpful (would prefer the previous 7). On Sundays, when it creates a new "week", it makes it a bit difficult when, say, most of my Dr. appointments are on Mondays to be able to say, "well, I can't give you the average over the past week (or even the last calendar week)"...I either get Sunday or month...which, the further you go along in the month..the harder to guess how much of that was the previous week. :(
3. Maybe a bit more optimization/speediness to the calcs code...I only have 126 entries (I take my BP VERY frequently--this is just readings for about 10 days). Going into the charts and stats is EXTREMELY slow (esp when paging between the longer time periods). I've actually locked my iPhone once with it.
4. Change the charts to have headers instead of pages (like you did with the Stats screen). It's a bit tedious to page through every chart to get to "This Week" or "Today".

All in all, a great job! I'm not much for buying apps, but this was definitely one of the best uses of my money!

JimA,

Glad you found that tip helpful, I have used it to get a screen grab of a web page before going into a bad cell area.

Thank you for the purchase and feedback.

Sean.....I was blown away by your screen shot tip. I needed that to send a copy of the numerical summary of the readings to the Doc. When I Email the various readings it only sends the readings and not the summary for that period. Thanks for a great app.

Thank you for the purchase and feedback.

CSV is definitely on the top of my feature list, I will probably not implement something until the iPhone OS release which adds more flexibility for us developers.

Thanks for BP tracker. I had a Quad bypass a couple of years ago and I now take my BP daily, then meet with my Doctor monthly. I would just like to add my voice to support for csv email format. Thanks again.

Dan,

Thank you for the purchase and feedback.

There are a few reasons why the stats might be slow.

1) If you have a large number of data entries. Each time the stats view is refreshed, i.e. first showing the view or clicking a different time frame the values are recalculated for that range.

2) If you are only seeing the delay when first showing the stats view it is probably due to my decision to default to All, which is the slowest of all data ranges to calculate.

3) I could have done something stupid in my calculations that costs way too much cpu ;)

4) iPhone beta 3.0 is slow, if you are running it, this is likely the cause.

5) Have you restarted your iPhone or iPod Touch lately? I find that my first gen iPhone gets sluggish after a week or two and needs a reboot.

Just out of curiosity how many data entries does your phone contain? Easiest way to see the number is to add a new entry and see Item x of Y, Y is what I am looking for.

I will have to do some profiling to see if #3 is occurring.

Thanks

Why does it take so long for the stat calculations to occur.

Otherwise - i really like the app.
